dinner was a jap fare today.
starter was okonomiyake
udon with shoyu soup with prawns,veg,jap fishcake and egg.

cause we went to suzuran @ camberwell!! which have a sushi shop just beside it and they sell bento boxes of sushi and sashimi and its very very fresh.
suzuran is also a japanese supermarket like a mini japan!!
you can get almost everything to cook a basic japanese meal.
and plus they sell kirin and asahi for jus 2.95 for a bottle.=))

wedding preps are stagnant at the moment.
not exactly that i have not done anything.
im buying things along the way.
i bought 9.5 metres of red and white ribbon at pepe's paperie at doncaster shopping town.
have you been to the new westfield recently.
i must say its looking good.
i was excited.. m thinking of exploring more this friday when i finish work.
well back to the ribbons.
one of the kids mum works at this shop and she said to go look for her one of these days.
so there i was.and i fell in love with the shop
for those who love kikki.k .. pepe's paperie has a lot more variety than kikki.k..
initially i was buying the ribbons for the flower girls hair but i think im going to get more and see what i can do with it.. =)

next on the list would be getting the invites designed and written for.
and i have arranged for a trial make up and hair do session.
think we have to get around doing stuffs more.

been watching made of honour and 27 dresses.
9 more months to the big day.
glad i have the maid of honour on the phone at least once every couple of days.
not like i call her to do stuffs but to chat and talk about everything else.
and the creator of pretty stuffs.on the call n sms anytime.
m glad for friends.

m excited about the wedding.
just need to find some hair dressers and make up artist.

we celebrated life.
celebrated the coming of 24,23 and 22 age.
life. is a journey.
yes i agree and there is so much more blessings and abundance in one's life.

the lobster tortellini with burnt butter was yum. for entree

hand cut pasta with seafood, tossed with olive oil, parsley and garlic was YUMYUM!!
and a platter of meat for him was yummy toos.apart from the panfried duck liver.

and the huge tiramisu and soy mocha for dessert top the whole night away.

grossi florentino.was really good and generous with their serving.
thanks for the lovely belated birthday dinner baby.

flower girls 2:she is the one and only who screams at me.
when she is angry. and will say no if she doesnt like it.
she is really only 4 but she talks like a 6 year old.

flower girl 3: one of my first graduated kids.
she is the most shy but most lovely girl.
she is the one who will keep quiet but know the most during my group time.

so today
it turn a little bit too cold for my liking.
everyday but today i forgot to bring a jacket.
stood in the cold as i run in and out of the bank to the witchery shop.
went straight to the rack where my witchery jacket was waiting for me.
i took a glance of it.
and i took it to the counter.
as the counter was quite full..
i stood around and thought to myself that i should try it on.
so i tried it and then left at the changing room.
just yesterday i was telling steve and aaron that i am going to buy the jacket no matter what.
*i spend quite a fair bit at a country road sale yesterday.
maybe its just the weather.

i dont know where to start from.
it really does feel as depressing as it can be.
so today, the first day of chinese new year.
i sit in front of this familiar place.
but not 'home'.
not waking up to the chirpping of birds or the firecrackers.
a first chinese new year away from home.
im feeling sad, nothing seem to be able to steer anything away.
my whole mind is like poofs.
i read the papers online about how millions of cars/people are rushing home for chinese new year.
i want to go home for chinese new year too.
i want to spend time with my family too
this festive season makes it all harder for me to swallow.
for me to accept where im at.

i know HE is teaching me something.
and ill learn it down the track.
but for now, i cant help being who i am

chinese new year is round the corner.
i have been baking n cooking.
made some peanut butter cookies and bak kwa..

it feels different to be here.
i cant however describe the feeling and the atmosphere back home.
ill miss the nasi lemaks.
ill miss the home, the family, the sisters, the parents, the only brother.the uncles,aunties and the cousins.
the mahjong sessions. the black jack with mum and trying to con all her money.
the sound of firecrackers.the familiar smells of home fresh cooked breakfast,lunch, dinners.
the ang paos.the past midnight and screamings.
its family after all.
i miss seeing the amount of goodies in my house, sitting on the swing in the garden.
i jus miss home.
it feels all different.
dont feel any spirit of chinese new year. its just probably me...
its never the same.
but i guess im blessed enough to have friends, colleagues and soon to be my-family around me.
its making do. and knowing that im being well provided for a first time/year away from home during chinese new year.

a culture which most wouldnt understand.

holidays been really good so far.

there is always something about christmas.
from the celebrating of Jesus birthday.
to family gatherings and doing festive shopping.
i started mine yesterday.
i know its way too late.
but i know i need to get it done..

so a week from now.
ill be jet setting back to home.
not that i dont call melbourne home.
but its a different place where families come together.
sometimes i hate to admit.
but i do envy people who have family around them.
its a far different life but i would love to have that sometimes.
bickering with my sis. have our moments.
but still.they are family after all.
it feels like we are all grown up now.
with our different lives.
meet only once or twice a year
i guess its all part of growing up.

and yesterday.
my kinder kids graduated.19 of them.
its my first batch of children offically as a teacher.
i love them all.
its been such a joyous year....
feels fulfilled and inspired......

peter, renato, zoe, kayla, brittany, jasmine, billy, joel,thomas, bharat, venus, hannah, joseph, lucy, luka, jonathan,stian, teagan, dylan, kirsten and daniel. who graduated.

have a fun filled holiday and a joyous christmas.

talk bout being generous!!!
went to office works to do some printing stuff for work!!!
it cost like 99 cents for one colour print!!!
i said to steve..
gosh i didnt know it was so expensive.
and i had to print 70 copies for work and it didnt work out to be the amount that i budgetted with debbie.
so yea. i was like i need to call debbie and i send stevie to get my phone which we left in the car.
then this men came over and said, are you going to photocopy in colour.
first i thought!!! mayb he was asking if i knew how to use the machine OR he was using the machine
then he said to me, how many do you need to print!!!
i said ohhh like 70 copies cause im preparing for the chrismas concert in school.
he then said!! today is your lucky day!!!
he took out one copy card, he said i think there is like $35 dollars inside, should be able for you to do 30 copies.
i was like more than grateful really..
for such a man to do this!!
i went on to continue printing all the other stuffs i had to do!!
not knowing, he went to the 2nd machine and printed another 30 pieces for me!!
i am amazed!!! really amazed by his generousity!!
its not that i knew him or something, but just someone who doesnt even know me,
doesnt even know what am i doing all these for,
could just say, yea i feel like being generous and m blessing into you!!!
m marvelled!! =)))

its like sometimes, when i pray for parking in the city, God always does not give me one, but he gives me TWO to choose from!!!

well never wanted to know much.
probably m just in denial or wanted to act like it doesn't affect anyone.
recently.
i had heard so many people having diagnosed with cancer.
colleagues, colleagues family.
my kids parents, my kids family.
its insane.
its really scary.

saturday mornings for me is like time to myself.
woke up at 730am.yesterday.
read my bible.
and on my laptop and came across my final year project.
my mini "thesis" or research.
i read through it again...
i wrote about positive talks with children.
it really encourage me as i read it.
i felt so refresh cause i felt that i was losing one end of what it means to be the positive encourgaging teacher again.
i love it.=) and well after the many of hours spend on writing that up last year of what i believed in..............
its good isnt it.=)

girlie breakkkie at gingerlily was awesome.
the place was nice. food was really fine.. and the sun was out.
it makes all the difference

went to madam sousous for breakkie.this morning.
had the mdm sousous's big breakfast which was recommanded by the breakfastblog.
was yumm.. really buttery and creamy scrambled eggs.

went to phantom yesterday.
its so so so GOOD!!!

so came the first parent teacher interview.
time frame:15 mins max.
came the parent with her bubba.
i was bit scared.being my first one ever.
had to give a report for school readiness and a brief report of the child.
and she read through it.
and i said: what do you think?
she said: think thats good, do you think he is ready for school next year.
me: yea, why not but there are just some stuffs we need to work on till he goes to school next year...
and it went on for probably about 15 mins.
was quite good.
well another 20 more kiddys to go.

but today was a rather interesting experience for steve and i...

had yumcha with my colleagues.which are all aussies
some things we take for granted like fishballs..
well all of us know that we make fishballs out of fishpaste and flour.
but when the waiteress came and asked if we wanted fishballs..
their eyes like gorged out!!!!
they thought they asked if it was the testicles of the fish..
man... steve and i laughed n laughed.........

and dimsims... u know the aussie dimsims.YUCKS!!!!
they asked for dimsims in yumcha...
and out came siew mai...
of course it wasnt the same.
and hahah found out that lots of aussie doesnt eat like prawns nor fish..

was send back from work this arvo cause i was running a temperture.
coughing badly and had a throbing headache.
spend the afternoon sleeping and snoozing.

went to the asian grocery with the boy.
cause he had to cook dinner for his parents.
and he got char siew bao for my dinner.
cause i did not want to eat anything else.
came back n i send out 3 emails regarding about my p.r to 3 government bodies.
took me 1 hour to think about what i have to write....

its 9.38pm n m having 1 char siew bao n half a cup of milo for dinner.

weekends seems much more precious now..

had a goood chat with a friend today.
it made me clearly speak out in words where my heart was at..
i feel im in this space where i wanna rebel .

talked about friendships and relationships.
talked about how if we didnt built anything based on a friendship.
there would be a very different understanding.
i looked out of the window into the maribynong river.
